Well, it's been over a month since I've lost posted in here. Life's been busy. Work killed me, lots of family stuff and gigs and photography coming out of ears.
I've taken a step back and re-evaluated my life to see where I can try to fit in time to sleep and I've re-prioritised things. As much fun as I've had with this blog, as much fun as it's been and all the opportunities that came from it, I just don't have time to dedicate to writing a blurb on each tour/band/gig/album that I want to. It sucks. I wish I could have time.
It's not the end completely. I'll come back every now and then for things such as gig reviews, my album reviews, end of year lists and I'll try to get back into Free Music Friday, because I get a lot of great music. The problem is I'm so overwhelmed with new music, my backlog is 200+ hours deep, and only getting deeper. It's actually depressing me how I don't have time to listen to the classics.
If you want to know what gigs I'm going to, I'm going to keep my concert calendar going. I have it synched to my phone calendar and it's a godsend. The link for it is here: https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=835hou86o1lplk1ob70o36nf7c@group.calendar.google.com&ctz=Australia/Brisbane&gsessionid=OK If you have an Android/Google Calendar, you should be able to add it straight into your own.
I'm still reviewing albums on Twitter. Every work day I'll try and put one or two album reviews up. My twitter is here: http://twitter.com/moshpitson. I'll put a completed list in here every month or so.
My photography is something I'm really trying to focus on now. I'm doing shots for Rave Magazine, Tone Deaf, Alternative Music Hub (and hopefully some more in the works). Your best bet for seeing my photos is in those places, or on Tumblr or Flickr.
In fact, you should just go to Alternative Music Hub for all the news. They're good guys and I was getting most of my announcements through them anywho.
I'll blog a lot of my photos over at my actually photography blog now: http://moshpitson.com/blog/
Thanks guys, I'm surprised how many people actually read this and would buy tickets and albums purely on the words I wrote. I only did it for myself and a few close friends and it's been truly amazing to see what me having fun could turn into.

Blog Update
Apologies readers. I've been a bit slack lately with blog updates. As I'm sure you're aware, I've started taking concert photos more often for more than just shits and giggles. The result of this taking up a whole bunch of my free time, coupled with work, travelling for work, girlfriend and napping has seen me not update as often as I would like.
It's not that I don't want to. I have a "To Blog" list in my email drafts box that's huge. It'll get done soon. I promise. I'll still bring you all the concert announcements. They won't be within 2 minutes of the announcement, like other music blogs, but I'll put them up in plenty of time. I'll still post all the rants, mix CDs, photos, reviews and other goodies whenever I get a chance too. Especially Free Music Friday. I love that.
So no, I haven't forgotten about you. It's just I get to go places now and take photos of people playing instruments. And jumping. While playing instruments.
Stay tuned this week. I'll be pumping through my "To Blog" list. Which will hopefully also include some web page improvements all around.
Meanwhile, enjoy my recent galleries for AltMusicHub.

Website goodness
Hey faithful readers, sorry I've been ignoring you lately. Life's been busy. And you'll start seeing the results soon. With me doing band photography for more than just shits and giggles, I thought it was time to tidy everything up and be a bit more professional.
So to start with, I made a landing page for my photography and life in general. It's the old blog link, aka http://moshpitson.com/. If you've been using this link to come to my blog, you've probably already discovered it by now. It still links here eventually, but to get directly to this Brisbane music blog, go to http://moshpitson.blogspot.com/.
If you like my photography, I've started a small photography blog too. http://moshpitson.com/blog/ This will be used to discuss photos, gear, tips, tricks and whatever other photography things I feel like. It won't be used for just live music photos.
I'll still post the gig reviews and photos on this music blog too.
I still use Tumblr to post small things I like, or just random photos I've done. http://moshpitson.tumblr.com/
My Twitter is more personal these days, but during the work week I'll still post a lot of music things, especially my one sentence album reviews. http://twitter.com/#!/moshpitson
My Flickr will hold the best of my band photos, as my portfolio. http://www.flickr.com/photos/nunchukakatta/sets/72157625075862092/
There's more, but not really music related. It can all be viewed from my moshpitson.com homepage.
Despite all of this other stuff, never fear. I will still be talking about music as much as always. I'm obsessed with it. I can't help myself.
Thanks for reading and following me. I really appreciate it. Don't stop the rock. \m/

Fuck you Clus. I've been trying to avoid Twitter for ages now. But you just had to go and sign me up for one in your "internet guru" way telling me it'll help my blog. I still don't understand it or anything, but follow me and whatnot for updates and such. http://twitter.com/moshpitson I'm thinking I'll start putting my one sentence music reviews on there soon, when I finally figure it all out.

This is serious mum
New computer has arrived! So the blog is back. The first change is compliments of Clus' wonderful coding skills. The upcoming shows list on the right is linked to a public Google Calendar. It's all up to date and you can visit the actual calendar to download all of the shows for your own calendar. And now for some music news...

TISM (This is Serious Mum) are Australia's most elusive and annoying band. They've made almost as many enemies as they have friends with their political rock/electronica/spoken word music. And apparently they're coming back, hopefully in time for the election. Their website (http://www.tism.com.au/) is being updated as we speak. To me, they have a few great songs, but their albums are full of mainly absolutely tripe between the songs.
Enjoy their most widely known song, as performed in an Indian style on John Safran's Musical Jamboree:
